About Bronx Zoo
The Bronx Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the world and is home to over 600 species including the Western Lowland Gorillas, Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, California Sea Lions, Alligator Snapping Turtle, American Flamingos, Ring Tailed Lemur, Indian Rhinoceroses, African Wild Dogs, Snow Leopards, Nile Crocodiles, Monarch Butterflies, Polar Bears and more. A newly built children’s zoo includes a climbing rope, tree slide, petting zoo and an enclosed clear tube underneath the prairie dogs grounds which allows children a glimpse of the charming rodents at close range. Twenty three exhibits, a bug carousel, penguin feedings and a 4D theater offers plenty to do.
