About Coral Castle Museum

The Coral Castle Museum is found in Homestead, Florida, and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1940, the popular attraction and sculpture garden was constructed one man named Edward Leedskalnin, a stoneworker who built the landmark using more than 1,100 tons of coral rock. It took more than 28 years to construct the castle and historians still aren’t sure exactly why he executed the project. As you tour the outdoor gardens and see the various sculptures that Leedskalnin made, which include a stone rocking stairs and a working stone telescope.
