About Death Valley National Park
Death Valley National Park covers more than 3 million acres of desert landscape, making it the largest national park in the United States. There are a number of sites to be seen at this popular attraction, including Badwater Basin, the second lowest point in the western hemisphere, and Scotty’s Castle, an expansive home built in 1939. Families that don’t want to miss out on the key sites can take part in numerous ranger guided tours. Some of the most unique experiences are the Moon & Star programs, which provide incredible views of the night sky, and the paleontology tours, which provide an up-close look at ancient fossils.
