Situated on 110 acres, Gatorland is privately owned and known as the “Alligator Capital of the World.” Both a wildlife preserve and a theme park, it was established in 1949 and features thousands of crocodiles and alligators, reptile shows, a petting zoo, educational programs, an aviary, swamp walk and a breeding marsh with an observation tower and boardwalk. Take a ride on the historic train whose track rings the attraction or defy gravity on the zip line that travels over a pool of alligators.
