- The Ferry runs 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. More frequent service, (every 15 or 20 minutes,) is provided on the weekdays during the rush hours of 6:00 am 9:30 am and 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm, with either 30-minute or 60-minute service to follow. On weekends, service is provided every 30 minutes from 6:00AM-7:00PM on Saturdays and 9:00AM-7:00PM on Sundays. Check the Schedules section at www.siferry.com for more information. Open every day however limited holiday hours apply.

About Staten Island Ferry
The infamous 25-minute Staten Island Ferry trip transports riders from Staten Island to Manhattan every day. Only foot traffic and bicycles are allowed. During the week, five ferries carry almost 60,000 each day. This free transport gives its riders a view of The Statue of Liberty, the NYC skyline and various famous bridges. The Staten Island Ferry is run by the New York Department of Transportation and operates year round. Food and concessions are available on the Ferry. Passengers must disembark at each port, round trip rides are prohibited. Please note: during rush hours, the Ferry gets very crowded.
