About The Cloisters Garden
The Cloisters is a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art located in Fort Tryon Park, Manhattan northside along the Hudson River. While most children may be a little bored with the art on the inside, kids will find themselves overwhelmed with the possibilities inside the medieval gardens. Situated on over 66 acres of land with Tryon Park, The Cloisters replicates the extravagant gardens of thousands of years ago with manicured bush mazes, water fountains, grand castle architecture and over-sized stone staircases complete with breathtaking views. Plenty of room to run and explore.
Guided tours are also available through the museum.
Children under 12 are admitted for free.
