The George W. Bush Presidential Library is located in Dallas, Texas on the SMU (Southern Methodist University) campus. The 226,000 square foot library and museum is the second largest presidential library in the nation (the largest being that of President Ronald Reagan in California).

Prominent displays include melted steel beams from the September 11, 2011 terrorist’s attack on the World Trade Center, a 9/11 limestone memorial with the names of the victims and fallen heroes, a digital interactive war room table, theaters, oval office replica, personal artifacts, honorary gifts to the Bushes from world leaders, George W. Bush’s personal collection of autographed of baseballs, various videos, documents¬†and a kids corner which features a “guess which president” computer animation game. Key legislative initiatives are also highlighted with an emphasis on Republican philosophy.

The Library and Museum, which was reportedly funded by private donations totaling upwards of $500 million dollars, opened on April 25, 2013 and has been visited by over half a million people as of June 2014.
